The Great Christmas Rabbit Hunt.
My husband and I went to his mother's house this Christmas, and what an interesting Christmas it was. My mother-in-law, let’s just call her “Rose” (I really don't need any more trouble with that side of the family) has a few bunny rabbits. Well a day or so before Christmas one of the rabbits had gotten out of it's cage, and was hiding out in the backyard. We got there that afternoon to find his mom, sister, whom we shall call “Sally”, and his sister's two kids, lets refer to them as “Sam” and “Lisa” gathered around their back porch trying to figure out how to get the rabbit out. My husband hurried down to his family to help them with their problem: while I stood back laughing at Rose who had chased the rabbit up under the porch. Rose had tried to crawl under the porch after it and got stuck. Sally had Lisa go under the porch to help her grandmother, but that failed. Sally then sent Sam to try and apprehend the ever-allusive bunny. When that did not work Lisa went crawling under the porch after the bunny. She chased it back and forth finally tiring the rabbit out. After about an hour and a half, Sam was able to catch that “wascally wabbit” and hold onto it long enough for Sally to crawl underneath the porch and apprehend it. What I find funny is one small bunny rabbit outsmarted three adults and two children in this classic Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd battle, in which Elmer has at last won the fight. |
